Bringing Dead Circumstances To Life pt 2

Read Ezekiel 37:1-10

We see here in Ezekiel 37 that the bones Ezekiel saw didn't just come together at random. Each went to its appropriate place, in the right order. There was divine order, divine connection, and we need to find our divine connections in life. Divine connections are a key to breakthrough, to fulfilling God's plan for our lives. Christianity is all about being rightly connected in relationships.

We don't fit always in

Sometimes we'll go somewhere and we get the sense that we just don't fit in. It is because there are potentially wrong connections just waiting to happen. One of the biggest hindrances to growing in God are wrong connections or flesh connections that are birthed out of fleshly desires. Until they are broken and we've found divine connections, we are going to be limited in experiencing the power of God in our lives.

Abraham had to separate himself from his nephew Lot before he could move into the future God had planned for him (Genesis 13:9-11). Flesh connections will always war for first place in our lives, against the Spirit and what God has intended for us.

Our connections affect us a lot more than we probably realize and so having the right connections is critical. It is rarely easy to tell the difference between good and bad connections, especially early on in a relationship.

Body, Soul & Spirit

There are three levels of connection: body, soul and Spirit. Body or flesh connections; soul or emotional connections; Spirit or divine connections - the most powerful connections, linked to our divine destiny.

People with divine connections achieve more together exponentially. "One (could) chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight". Deuteronomy 32:30. Divine connections allow common people and churches to achieve uncommon results far beyond their natural ability. The more you are connected to the church and God's people the more you experience what God wants for you in your life.

The Bible is full of divine connections: Moses & Aaron, David & Jonathan, Elijah and Elisha, Paul and Timothy, even Jesus sent the disciples out together because he knew divine connections are so powerful.

Connections create strength

"If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand."
Mark 3:25 NIV

When we are disconnected from each other it is difficult to stand. We don't have the support that we need. Connections create strength. The Bible says

"...if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." Matthew 18:19 NIV

Satan fights agreement and unity more than anything else. He knows that when we are rightly connected miracles are going to happen. That is why the majority of the testimonies we receive come from our small groups. It is there, where God's people are in right connection and in one accord, that divine connections are formed and strengthened. Christianity is all about relationships - love God and love one another.

"With one accord"

"When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting." Acts 2:1-2  NKJV

God was waiting for them to be in "one accord", in one place, in right connection, and it was only then that God's power came. It is powerful in church when we worship together as one. The same is true when we are connect with a message, power is going to flow, transformation is going to take place. We come to church to connect to God and to each other.

Something is supposed to happen when we gather in church. There should be a rattling, a shaking, a transformation. We should leave different than when we came in because God is at work in our midst. When there is disunity in a church nothing happens. Disunity is probably the greatest destroyer of churches. Whatever tactic the enemy uses ultimately results in disunity and destruction.

Why does the business world network? Because they understand the power of connections. What's the name of the biggest business network? LinkedIn. It's there in the name - that recognition of the power of connection.

Disconnected people struggle. To connect means to overcome insecurity, to overcome our fears, to overcome slights and offenses. It means you are maintaining that connection to God and His blessings. How do lions hunt? By identifying and tracking the animal that is isolated and has lost the protection of connection.

A divine model

The Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. is a demonstration of divine connection for us to follow and emulate. We're not positioned by chance. If we allow Him to, God orchestrates our lives to be in the right place, with the right people, at the right time. It then the Heavens can be opened over our lives.

When Ezekiel first saw the valley he only saw dry bones and not the divine potential, the vast army that God saw. We need to see ourselves and our situations as God sees them. He sees what we are going to become. Our God is not just a healer, a deliverer, a mighty God, King of kings and Lord of lords, He is also a connector. He will take the brokenness of our lives and put it back together again with renewed strength.

We may be tempted to say 'but my situation is different' but God's word says:

"let the weak say I am strong" (Joel 3:10), "let the poor say I am rich" (2 Corinthians 6:10). "I am more than a conqueror through Him" (Romans 8:37). I have "hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).

We need to prophesy to our dry bones, to prophesy to and speak life into our circumstances. "Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!" We need to declare "today my life, my marriage, my family, my ministry, my finances, is coming together."

We need to tell that thief and liar, the devil "you made a mistake. You disconnected me. You whipped me, I admit it. I gave up hope, I admit it, gave in to hopelessness and depression. I admit it but it is possible to lose a battle and to still win the war. The fight isn't over. My life, my future, my circumstance is coming together." The key is divine connection.

Divine connection.

We need to have right connections to people, that is essential, because that is what God created us for. But above that, above all, is our connection to God. And the stronger the connection to Him the greater the flow of His power, His blessings, His anointing. No matter how broken and disconnected we are God can put us together again because He loves us deeply and

"with God nothing will be impossible.”
Luke 1:37 NKJV
