Ever Increasing Faith - Part 2

Mark 11:23-24

23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.

The Bible speaks of at least seven levels of faith

1. No faith - Mark 4:40 - But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?”

2. Little faith - Matthew 6:30 - Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

3. Weak faith - Romans 4:19 - And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb.

4. Rich in faith - James 2:5 - Listen, my beloved brethren: Has God not chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?

5. Strong faith - Romans 4:20 - He [Abraham] did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,

6. Great faith - Matthew 8:10 - When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel!

7. Full faith - Acts 6:8 - And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people.

2 Thessalonians 1:3
3 We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is fitting, because your faith grows exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all abounds toward each other,

9 Ways to Increase Your Faith

1. Relationship with God

Daniel 11:32
32 Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.

2. The Word Of God

Romans 10:17
17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

You may not have faith right now, but as you listen, actively open your spirit, engage with the message and the speaker your faith will grow. To truly benefit from attending church we need to listen to messages with intensity, like we are receiving life saving instructions as the boat is sinking.

3. Exercise the Faith You Have

A little boy wanted to be like Mr universe, but he had puny muscles. He daily prayed for muscles. Months later, he still had no muscles. We all know why; he needed to exercise the muscles he already had, not just pray for them. As he exercised, the muscles would grow. The same is true of faith.

Matthew 17:20
20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.

4. Walk With Faith People

5.Talk Faith

6. Read Faith

7. Watch Faith

8. Ask God For More Faith

Why not join the apostles in Luke 17:5 - And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.”

9. Pray Against Unbelief

Mark 9:23-24
23 Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
24 Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”
