Master of Breakthroughs Part 2

1. Breakers anointing

Micah 2:13

The breaker, Messiah, will go up before them they will breakthrough.

There is a specific breakers anointing. The God of the breakthrough lives in us. I believe as a church God has anointed us with the breakers anointing. We've seen many breakthroughs. For example we have two large auditoriums with no debt; we've had real growth, and seen thousands saved. We need to keep pursuing this anointing as a church.

Malachi 3:1

1 …And the Lord, whom you seek, will suddenly come to His temple, ...

On Jan 1, 2009 the youth experienced a breakthrough in the Spirit when heaven opened and God turned up in one of their meetings with the fire of God. Our church school also experienced a breakthrough in the Spirit when God visited students with His power, visions, and audible voice We are now due for a major breakthrough in the realm of the Spirit.

Breakthroughs should be a part of normal Christianity. We are designed for the supernatural. We are wired for it. It is difficult to be satisfied without the miraculous in our lives.

Thessalonians 1:5

5 For our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake.

2. It is God’s will to give you breakthrough

This is very important as it releases faith for a miracle. If you're not sure it’s God’s will to give you breakthrough and victory then it’s hard to have faith. God’s declared will is to set us free from every affliction, oppression, and work of Satan.

1 John 3:8

8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

3. Breakthrough seed

Sometimes we get "instant" breakthroughs, sometimes God gives us a promise or a prophesy which we need to keep praying through on. We need an enduring faith that doesn’t give up.

For example, if we are praying for breakthrough in finances and need $2000, when we get the first $100 we have no problem thanking God and seeing the $100 as the start to the full $2000. $100 is like a seed that will grow. We need to see healing breakthrough in the same way. When we get a little better we need to thank God for the little and expect complete healing. Thankfulness for the small measure of breakthrough can be what releases more. Do not despise the day of small beginnings - the answer is in the seed.

4. God has an appointed time for breakthrough

Breakthrough can be an issue of timing.

Habakkuk 2:3

3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.

Galatians 6:9

9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

To a measure we have had breakthrough in souls being saved, so now we see it in most services. We've seen breakthrough in expansion of Church Unlimited, and so we now see it on a regular basis.
What we want is a greater breakthrough in healing, so many people are healed in every service.

Isaiah 10:27

27 It shall come to pass in that day
That his burden will be taken away from your shoulder,
And his yoke from your neck,
And the yoke will be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

5. Breakthrough with praise and worship

Never under estimate the power of music. With church music, the whole purpose of singing, praise and worship is to make way for Lord of the breakthrough to come and to work miracles.

Psalm 22:3 KJV

3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

God inhabits the praises of His people. When God is there, miracles, healings and breakthroughs should happen. You can’t have God turn up and nothing happen.

A mother prayed for her alcoholic father for 30 years with no result. She heard about the power of song. After trying that, within weeks he was saved and set free of alcohol.

With singing being so powerful, it is not surprising that God has wired us to sing. When we don’t appreciate or understand that singing and worship are a means of bringing God’s breakthrough power and presence into our midst then our singing is in danger of becoming a form, ritual and mere words. At least 41 psalms tell us to sing to the Lord. It is not optional whether we sing or not; it is commanded. God wants a full expression of heartfelt worship from every believer. The Bible teaches us to be expressive in our worship. To clap, raise our hands and shout. Physical actions like clapping, shouting and raising hands can be the moment of breakthrough in your life.
