More Than Conquerors

You may have heard the statement - new levels, new devils; but what does it mean?

When obstacles come into your life or the enemy attacks it is easy to think you must be doing something wrong, but that is not necessarily the case. An example is Paul writing to the Corinthians, telling them that he'd be staying in Ephesus a bit longer, because of the opportunities to share the gospel that were opening up for him, but also that he was facing opposition at the same time:

"For a great and effective door has opened to me, and there are many adversaries." 1 Corinthians 16:9 NKJV

We mustn't surrender to intimidation. God never said weapons would not form, he just promised they would not prosper

"No weapon formed against you shall prosper ...This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from me,” says the Lord." Isaiah 54:17 NKJV

The enemy isn’t fighting you because you're weak and useless. No, it’s because you're strong (2 Corinthians 10:4), you have a great hope and future (Jeremiah 29:11), he knows you are a threat to him (2 Corinthians 10:5). The most difficult chapter of your life can become your greatest triumph because this is often when we discover God’s purpose.

Give Up To Go Up

You can't go up if you don’t give up someting. What is God asking you to give up.

2 Sam. 5:17-20

After 15 yrs of  trouble David reaches fulfilment of his dreams. He’s made it, finally anointed king of all Israel.

Three Anointings

Before he became king David was anointed 3 times.

  1. his first anointing was by Samuel in front of his family

"So as David stood there among his brothers, Samuel took the flask of olive oil he had brought and anointed David with the oil. And the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David from that day on." 1 Samuel 16:13 TLB

  2. his second anointing was by the men of Judah when he became king of Judah

"Then the men of Judah came to David and anointed him king over the people of Judah." 2 Samuel 2:4 TLB

  3. his third anointing, after seven and a half years as king of Judah, was by all the elders of Israel

"So there at Hebron, King David made a covenant before the Lord with all the elders of Israel. And they anointed him king of Israel ...He had reigned over Judah from Hebron for seven years and six months, and from Jerusalem he reigned over all Israel and Judah for thirty-three years ...And David became more and more powerful, because the Lord God of Heaven’s Armies was with him." 2 Samuel 5:3, 5, 10 TLB

Each anointing marked David as called by God and yet after each anointing David faced new and different challenges and opposition to that call - that is the meaning of new levels, new devils.

The Call on Church Unlimited

Through the vehicle of New Zealand and Beyond I believe we will impact New Zealand and the the nations; we will see revival and multitudes saved. Even though there are new devils at new levels I believe that for Church Unlimited and for myself God is placing on us a third anointing. However, we also need to understand we are in a spiritual battle because

"we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." Ephesians 6:12 NKJV

but here, in God's word, is where our confidence must come from

"Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.' Romans 8:37 NKJV

and

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." 2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV

The Importance and Power of Unity

Don’t let the devil sidetrack you with his cunning tricks as you step into new levels. 1st Corinthians 10 contains a series of warnings against the things that could destroy the unity of a people who have been through trials together. We must be vigilant in prayer, watch our attitudes, expect unexpected tests and trials but know that if God called you to it, you can win.

"The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure." 1 Corinthians 10:13 TLB

"The task ahead of us is never as great as the power behind us." - Ralph Waldo Emerson. Our victory, our power is in Christ through the work of the cross

"he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross." Colossians 2:15 TLB

God stripped Satan of all his artillery, leaving him with no weapons to fight with and powerless.

What God Has Given Us

Authority

"And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Luke 10:19 NKJV

Alertness To Satan’s Schemes

"Now whom you forgive anything, I also forgive. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of Christ, lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices." 2 Corinthians 2:11 NKJV

Our Weapons

  1. Speaking with authority
  2. Fasting
  3. Praise
  4. Daily declare authority verses:

"resist the devil and he will flee from you" James 4:7

"in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him" Rom 8:37

"greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." 1 John 4:4

"by whose stripes you were healed" 1 Peter 2:24

"the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly" Rom 16:20
