How we operate.

We gather in house groups spread across Rotorua. Each of our groups follow the same plan for Sunday, so we remain as one church on the same journey.

On Sunday you can expect a time of singing, social connection, prayer, discussion around a study, and morning tea or lunch together.

The study content will either be a discussion led by the house hosts, or a message from Pastor Tak Bhana on video.

All house churches share a common mid-week prayer meeting; this is also in a small group house format.

Our house church collective is a recognized Church Unlimited campus, and operates under the governance of the Church Unlimited umbrella, just as any of our other campuses around New Zealand and overseas.

Building People.

Our focus is on the depth and maturity of our Christian faith. The church is a family that supports, encourages and challenges each other as we grow more Christ-like.

As we commit outselves to investing into others, others are also committed to investing into us.

Participation.

Meeting in small groups allows more oppportunities for people to contribute, grow and develop. Participating is a powerful learning method, and meeting this way confronts the consumer mentality we so easily fall into.

Engaging in the Kingdom of God is a personal responsibility of each believer. By encouraging greater participation in church life we are reminded that we are building the church together.

Connection.

The church is to be a supportive family where everybody is noticed, valued and needed. Meeting in small groups allows the time and shared experiences that are required to build deep and supportive connections. We need each other in order to thrive as believers.

There are so many times through Scripture where we are exorted to support one another. The local church is a gathering of believers who are committed to living for one another and loving one another just as Christ has loved us. It’s also within these relationships that our character and Christ-likeness will be refined.
