Meet the Whangarei campus team

Here’s a bit of info about the wonderful team we have leading our Whangarei campus

Interim Pastor

Russell Watts

Born and raised on the mission field in Papua New Guinea I have always loved other cultures and have a real heart to see the next person really get to know Jesus.

Discipleship and pastoral care have been my passions for over 30 years. I enjoy seeing young people released into leadership. I would love to get to know you personally and help you find where you fit into this church family!

Married to Juliette with 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. The oldest, Anna lives with us. We live at the heads together with two Alpacas, a Psycho parrot and a Chihuahua that thinks it’s a rottweiler.

Youth Pastor

Matt Buchanan

I have always had a huge passion to see young people step into all that God has created them to be. Jesus sets us up for success so why let anything hold us back. Head over to our Instagram page: @limitless_youth_whangarei to see some of the stuff we get up to.

We would love to meet you!

Married to Daniela and have a baby boy, Zion. We live in our tiny house in Otaika Valley.

I’m from the Waikato originally, but studied in California for 2 years at Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry where I met my wife who is from Switzerland. Then lived in Germany and later Switzerland for a season too. Now God has had me here in beautiful northland since 2017.

Kids Worker

Juliette Watts

Hi, I’m a Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and more. I have just taken over organising the children’s church, ages 4-10, alongside a wonderful team of volunteers. This will be a great year for all.

Administrator

Bonnie Pryce

Worship is my heart and the Word is my passion. I love to see and hear God’s people gathered together in prayer, praise and worship. There is nothing sweeter than the Lord’s presence and the sound of collective praise and worship glorifying Him in one voice. Jesus is so cool, the Holy Spirit is ALWAYS there, and there is no one more loving and amazing than the Father.

Come and introduce yourself to me on a Sunday, I would love to get to know you!

Whangarei born and bred, I spent 10 years living, studying, and working in Auckland. Now I am back in “sunny” Northland.

Both my grandparents originate from Fiji – ‘ni sa bula vinaka’.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts and a diploma in Christian Ministries.
